I am trying to find a copy/image of this painting but do not know what the title is, nor who painted it:
Done in the Romantic style Set in the dark narrow passage of a castle stairway Two main figures - a woman in a blue dress, and a knight/soldier The woman is climbing the staircase and her back is to the viewer The knight has taken her right hand and is "nuzzling" it in longing She does not turn toward him/acknowledge him - appearing that their love is forbidden I believe that the title is something like "the interlude", "longing", "forbidden embrace" . . . or something to that extent. If you help I would greatly appreciate it. ~W |
