Can companies reproduce hand painted replicas of Picasso art that is more than 75 years old? Is there a list of picasso art that is in the public domain?
If not how can large companies be painting reproductions of Picasso, Dali, Chagall, Matisse and others' artwork? |

Copyright is a complex issue that varies depending on where you are and where the work has been published.
According to this site, anything published in the US before 1923 is now in the public domain. There are quite a few qualifiers and conditions, so I recommend you research the matter and get legal advice before acting on that assumption. http://www.copyright.cornell.edu/tra...lic_Domain.htm |
