Default cows and roses at dawn, illegible signature

I cannot read this signature. The painting is very well done and is belied by the photograph in which the blues are washed out. An help would be appreciated in reading this signature.
Thanks

Sure looks like "Fun", doesn't it? "Funt", maybe? That's a real name.

John Funt, perhaps? See here:

Default oil painting by Peter

I have an oil painting by Peter the t in his name has an L in it. It is a child
with a rife in hand and puppy lying in the picture. I would really like some
information on this painting. It was a gift.
