Could this be Charles Louis Verboeckhoven? Sometimes artists' names can be modified slightly when they are working in a country speaking another language. FWIW, the only reference I can find for "Louis Verbocke" is on a Russian website.

Here's a listing for a painting attributed to Charles Louis Verboeckhoven which is signed simply "L.V."

P.S. And he apparently had a son lamed Louis (1827-1884) who painted in a similar style.

Default Who can recognize this painting?

This is sort of the same topic, but a different painting:

It was on the wall at a Park Inn with no label and no knowledgeable staff. Hard to see from my cell phone picture, but it looks like a church or some place (maybe in Rome or Italy) with high vaulted ceilings and many people going about their business wearing 14-16th(?) century clothing.

In the center of the ceiling is a dome with writing in roman numerals.

I appreciate any thoughts and/or insights.

It is a copy of an "interior of S.Peter of Rome" by Giovanni Paolo Pannini. This artist (1691-1765) has made several versions of this view with more or less crowd and different point of view..London (National Gallery) Hanover..and so on. I don't know where is that one
