Hi. I am a student in Oregon and we are doing a scavenger hunt at our school. In this scavenger hunt there are numerous works of art that we must identify, through whatever means necessary. I was wondering if anyone here might help.
The link for this unknown art is: http://www.sou.edu/ecp/youth/competi...onsHS2005.html The images are at the bottom of the page. Thank You and Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated Emily Morningstar |

Okay, it seems to be within the rules, but I feel funny about giving you any answers (also partly because I don't have any).
Well I do have an idea who that person is standing in front of what appears to be a building. I'm not gonna tell you, but here's a pretty good hint... Don't you think the wall looks kind of titanium-colored? |

I think that it is quite interesting for the students to take part in this competition . I also feel interested in this but I live in HK ,Also visual art isn't seem to be very important in academic subjects or in daily lives. Citizens may not feel interested in that. I think I will join it if I live in your homeland.
I have look all the images and most of it are the masterpieces of the modern artists . I hope you can find the answers and win in this competition. But I think students may not want to join if there are rules. Good luck ! |

Thanks for the clue pointing to the Guggenheim. It helped a lot.
There's still more pictures though. I understand how it might seem wrong to give me the answers, but if you want to, you can read the rules on that site, and it says we can get help from whoever possible. We've been calling people all across the United States trying to find the answers for these questions. It's within the rules. I've been searching and searching and going through pages and pages of artists and paintings. Believe me, we're working for this. So still. Any Help you Can Give Me Is Appreciated not only by me, but also by my teacher, who is very enthused about winning this hunt. So Please. If you can help, Please do so. Thank You. Emily Morningstar |

I think that image3 was designed by Dutch painter Piet Mondrian (1872-1944)
and also , image6 was created by Fauvism artist (include Henri Mattise , Raoul Dufy , Georges Braque etc ) but I think the most possible answer is Andre Derain (1880-1954) I am not sure that they are true answers but they are only my opinions . work hard , emily . |

#3 is the most famous chair designed by gerrit rietveld. (red blue chair)
originally it was not red and blue, the colours where added under the influence of mondrians style. #6 seems to be an early picture from matisse (between 1900 and 1910) dietmar |
