We are musicians, and bought this framed piece this weekend. There is very faint typed reference to "Homer" on the back of the frame. I cannot find the image on the internet. Does anybody know anything about it?

Is that a frieze? If it's a simple work on paper then the three-dimensionality is amazing.
Anyway, it looks like the style of Alma-Tadema or Godward or one of the other Classicist painters. It looks familiar so I looked around a bit... The closest thing I found was a very similar composition by Albert Joseph Moore (scroll down, then click for a larger image). But frankly, yours is better. |

It looks like a photograph of a frieze, so that's what we were searching for. Thanks for your thoughts.
