Default Can anyone help identify this painting?

Has anyone seen this painting or know who the artist may be? Please help! I am completely lost and have no idea where to start.

Thanks!

You can start giving it a quarter turn (in my opinion)

Not sure I agree. Perhaps it's my imagination, but I can see an abstract face in the largest panel, with a nose and a prominent eyelash. Now that I look at it, it reminds me of a certain painting by an abstract painter like Paul Klee or Joan Miro, someone like that. I can't quite put my finger on who it was.

I said so only because I see a sort of signature DR in this position. Now this painting is from this genre called "shaped canvas" and there is a lot to find with these words on Google (text or image) but I can't find the artist.

I'm not really into abstract art, prefer the old masters. however, I would like to know if you...John and saintmarc...think that this is a good example. All I see is one big mess of paint, something a grade schooler would paint. If an artist can make money out of this then we should all start painting. My apologies...jmo.

Just my personal opinion, but I feel this work is no better or worse than every other abstract painting. :-)

...Perhaps that's going too far. There are a few abstract artists I like. Bridget Riley, for example. Yves Tanguy is also strangely compelling.
