My father saw this painting in the Louvre. It really resonated with him, but he didn't make note of the artist or title. Can anyone identify this for me, please?
Many thanks, Crystal |

One more time not in the Louvre but in Orsay museum
It is Eugène Burnand 1850-1921, " Peter and John on the way to the tomb of Jesus on the morning of the resurrection." http://www.artcyclopedia.com/artists...nd_eugene.html I must add that Burnand was not a french but a swiss artist in spite of a french career.
