Hi,
Was backpacking in Berlin and visited the 'island of museums' in Berlin. In one of the galleries there i fell in love with the below painting so much that i took a photo of it but never recorded the name or the artist Thanks for any help! ![]() |

Wow, I have never seen anything like that before. Possibly an allegory of the Black Death?

I suppose you could make a best guess as to which museum it was in, and contact them by email via their website. Looks like a fairly modern painting (1800s?), so that might help you narrow down who would own it.

This is Gustav Spangenberg (1828-1891) "Der zug des Todes" (The procession of Death) probably in the Alte Nationalgalerie
