Moriage Vase & 47 Inch PAINTING

I was trying to find out some info on them for a friend. She just found them in her house that her hubby just bought from a 98 year old man. He has lived in this same house all his life and even lived there with his parents as a baby. I'm sure these are old, but thats all I can tell her, lol.

Can anyone help me out? I would owe you one!

I am pretty sure the vase is a Moriage vase and all I know about the painting is its HUGE ( like 37 1/4 by 47 inches).
