French Painting

I have been looking for years for a painting I wrote a story about for GCSE English. The painting is set in the Place de la Bastille in Paris. A man in a top had is walking towards the Colonne de Juillet with a little girl holding his hand and walking beside him. It is a back few of the characters. It would be great to finally find it.

You probably don't mean this painting, but it's one of my favorites and generally matches your description -- except for the location.
