help identifying painting: shadow of man has hands chained
Hello, I'm a librarian trying to help somebody identify a painting. She thinks it's by an African American artist. It shows a figure walking, casting a shadow behind it. The shadow has chains on its hands (but the walking figure does not). If you can help me, please email rgriffith@sno-isle.org. Many thanks!
