Who's charcoal painting is this? The last name can not be clearly made out but the initials are R.B. There are about 6-7 letters in last name. Bottom right corner is what the monogram basically looks like.

It looks like "Baroja" to me.
I have a record of Ricardo Baroja y Nessi (Spanish painter, printmaker, and author, 1871-1953). |

thanks a lot to the both of you! I've read a little about him and found out he used to work together with Picasso. Nice to know I have one of his originals.

About that... I'm not an expert, and of course I don't have access to the original, but it looks like a print rather than an original drawing. Doesn't the writing at the bottom left say "No 1"? That suggests it's a numbered print or perhaps an artist's proof.

its definitely real, you can see the charcoal on the paper. The glass broke awhile back and you could smudge it if not careful
