Hi
I'm desperately trying to track down the name and artist of a painting I studied in an art class ages ago. I originally thought it might be by Giacometti, simply based on the folder I found it in, but have searched extensively under this assumption and I don't thhink that can be right. So unfortunately all I have is a description, so there's not much to go on!! The subject of the painting is a brown haired man wearing a brown jacket over a green pullover and blue shirt, he's slouched forward resting his head on his left hand in which he has a smoking cigarette and he's sitting in a high backed wooden chair in what I assume is a cafe. To his right there's a green pot plant in a brown pot. In front of him, on the table he's sitting at, is a full cup and saucer, a salt or sugar shaker, a packet of cigarettes and a plate with some toast on it and a green book. I know this is probably a bit vague, but I loved the sense of movement in this painting and would massively appreciate any help. |
