Default L Campbell Taylor

I have come across a painting by LCT it is call Mine Hostess, that is what is on the back anyway. It has his signature in the bottom left hand corner. I have no idea how to start to find out what this is worth so if anyone could help me that would be great. It was painted in 1931.

Smile Hostess of the White Horse

Hi, my book on LCT (by Furst, 1945) says he painted a painting called "The hostess of the White Horse" in 1931. It shows a corridor with a woman holding a serving platter with items on it, and looking back into the room from which she presumably just came. A man stands further down the corridor, and at the end there is a bar window. The book indicates it was in the collection of a Mrs Morgan, New York, USA in 1945. The White Horse was an inn in Shere, a village in the Guildford district of Surrey, England. In the 1890s a group of artists used to congregate there.

Good on you Artefact. I spent some time looking into this one as I had never heard of 'Mine Hostess'.
