My father bought four paintings from an artist in the late 1950's I believe, and he purchased them in India, also I believe. The paintings are portrait type of native inhabitants of what looks to be Tibet/China. I think the fellow was European. He initialed his paintings in what appears to be JAH, could be GAH, and there is a period after each initial. The artist catches the personalities of the subjects very well but I dont think they are important.
