I am wondering if anyone has heard of the artist Hein Van Doren and where I could get information about the artist. I have extensively searched the web and am at a standstill.
I would appreciate the help. You can e-mail me at faithfardoun@hotmail.com. Thank you |

I have a large Hein Von Doren oil painting. I don't know much about him either. I just know that the painting was bought in 1990 for $450. Wonder if the value has increased...

I also have a Hein Van Doren original Oil Painting. IT has four gentlemen drinking wine and smoking. There is a fireplace in the background and a ship hanging from the ceiling. The painting has many details including light coming from the windows, decanters, plates, armoire, fancy hats nad outfits, a trunk, side table and a chandelier. It measures 24" x 30" and has the following written on the back of the canvas: Van Doren V 3032. If anyone has any info on the artist, whether a market exists for this painting and if so, where, please let me know. Also, if anyone might know the value of this painting, that would be great as well. The painting was purchased for $590 in 1991. You can email me at shadyjm4@yahoo.com.
Thank you to anyone that can help. |

Hein van Doren is Dutch painter and was born in 1930. He painted old "Dutch" interiors but for what I see a little too much Dutch. Every inch of these painting has to be Dutch like in 17th or 18th century but painted thirty or forty years ago.
These painting were made for a market outside of Holland. His work came up for auction many times and most of the time in Germany or the USA. I can understand that Germans and Americans love these kind of paintings but for me, as a Dutch, I don't like it at all but that is just my opinion. |

My Husband and I just got a H Van Doren print at a garage sale. It is an outdoor scean an in green tones. The only thing I have found like it on the net is one with a mill on it and that is not mine. I don't think it is worth much but I do like it a lot and would love to find out more about it. Unfortunatly the person had it in with a bunch of junk and the back cover of the frame was torn off so I do not have the label that tells me about it. The one I found on the internet was from the 1930's and since mine looks so close to the same I think it was part of a group he may have done together.
Does anyone have one of his paintings that looks anything like this one? D |

I have a painting that looks like breaking news but there is only three gentlemen in the picture. The ship is in the picture. Can anyone tell me if this is his actual painting or a reproduction?
