I'm trying to find the name of this painting and who the artist is. I have a picture of the signature and the painting attached.
Thanks a million http://gallery.me.com/bengoyert/100008 |

Looks like it's influenced by the illustrator Patrick Nagel. My guess would be that the signature is "Leal", and "A.P" = "artist's proof" (in other words a print rather than a painting). But those are just guesses.

I don't know if you included this in the word "print" but this also be a serigraph? since you also do artist proof when you do serigraph
And serigraph, since made my artist hand, are clearly more interesting than prints |

Sure, I would call that a print, i.e. a product of printmaking. Personally I sometimes call these "original prints" to distinguish them from unlimited-run reproductions.

Yeah we have a Nagel "30th Anniversary Playboy" print also. They looked very similar but were obviously from different people. Thanks a million for coming up with "leal", can't believe none of us saw that. It was indeed a Steve Leal, and its called Vanna. There is one on ebay already, he's asking $1200.
Thanks again |
