Default Foxing

Can anyone recommend a safe method of removing foxing spots from a water colour painting without damaging or spoiling the painting? I have a few foxing spots about 1mm diameter on a light greyish sky background.

I know that you can use a solution of 2 to 3% hydrogen peroxide on printed paper, dabbed on very lightly with a cotton swab.

I would consult a professional as they have a certain method of repairing paintings.

Thanks Irene,
I had seen reference to this method and decided to give it a try. It has worked very well after several light applications. The foxing has been removed and no damage to the paint or the paper. Very pleased with the result.
