Walking home from work yesterday in New York City, I picked up two abandoned paintings on the street. One of them is signed "Henri Matisse" in the bottom left-hand corner and is a very thinly painted image of a black-haired woman in a red dress posing in front of a window with her hands crossed. I assume it's a reproduction or imitation of some sort, but does anyone know the title of it maybe?
The other signature is difficult to read (something like etengoff/56?), but it is a painting of a horse with lots of distressing. Does anyone know anything about these paintings? Thanks! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pi...4665&id=102644 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=39634665&id=102644#!/photo.php?pid=39634667&id=102644&fbid=698469848662 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=39634665&id=102644#!/photo.php?pid=39634668&id=102644&fbid=698469853652 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=39634665&id=102644#!/photo.php?pid=39634669&id=102644&fbid=698469873612 |
