I have an assignment where I have to find a modern piece of art that was influenced by prehistoric or ancient near eastern work. I just need an image. Does anyone know of any pieces or where I could search for one? I know nothing about art so any help is much appreciated!!!!

Perhaps Henri Gaudier-Brzeska's "Hieratic Head of Ezra Pound" said to be heavily influenced by ancient Egyptian sculptures of Rameses II.

Some artists incorporate ancient art into their imagery, notably Carlo Maria Mariani. Salvador Dalí does this as well, especially with references to the Venus de Milo.
