Default Help with identifying painting

I believe it is called "The last Virgin Nymph" but I may be wrong. It was at the Louvre about 10 years ago and I can't find any info on it. It is a very dark , large painting of a woman floating in water wearing a long silver(?) dress.

Try searching on "Ophelia" (from Hamlet). There are a couple of versions that are generally similar to what you're describing.

yes, that's probably it. It's very dark and it's at the Louvre. The Ophelia paintings I was thinking of are elsewhere.

Sorry but this painting is not in the Louvre and not in France. It is an error. On this Artcyclopedia page we find the right title and the right place. So, the question of coco is still available

I hesitate to disagree with you, but there are 2 versions of that painting (possibly more, I suppose). The Louvre does appear to have one, although their website says it is not currently on display.

The one in Louvre is dated 1855 and measures 67"x58" [if I figured that correctly], however, the one in the Hermitage is dated 1853 and measures 29"x24".
