I recently purchased a painting on canvas of beautiful cherubs dancing around a tree. It is signed in the bottom right corner ABorsari then something that is faded and I can't read, then F. Albani. After the signature there is a circle with RFX inside the circle. The canvas is stretched over a wood frame.
I would appreciate any info. on this painting. Thank you. |

I have a VERY OLD painting with EXTREMELY signature markings!!! I have been on the internet trying to find ANY possible information. My great aunt (who would be appx. 110 if still alive) received this painting from her husband, who had inherited it from his great grandfather!

ABorsari with the same intials in the circle. It is a French Parlor Scene. and then has a "V De Fareles" after (I think) . Did you ever get any further information on this painting?

I have a painting also that sounds similar. It has RAS which at the bottom of the A looks like X's In a circle. I think that is a stamp for a reproduction. Mine is on a canvas but no paint streaks so i think it is a print. It says A Borsari and then Se Chicrici but mine is in the bottom left corner. It is a mother cooking at a stove with her daughter on the floor next to her frightened, because her older brother busted in the kitchen door with a mask. It looks like a italian 1900's kitchen with a wood burning stove. I would like to know more about the painting but unfortunatly i can't find much. It is probably 28 inches high and 40 inches wide. Sound like the same artisit as anyone else?

I inherited an oil painting on canvas. Its been in my family for over 100 yrs. Its signed by A Borsini & R. Fontana and has on the rear of the canvas a circle with some letters that I cant make out. I know its not an original because I found out there is a similar one in Argentina. Does anyone know more about these artists?

I have a canvas by A. Borsari Ecce Homo signed with initials lower left RAS included in a circle. Canvas is very old in a wood frame with floral embossing, printing seems to be no painting (size 79 x 100 cm). Please details about the author and its value. (lucretia_b63@yahoo.com) |

I have what I believe to be a large painting by A Borsari but under the signature on the bottom right is another name.
It says A Borsari da Fed. Andreotti. Any ideas? Suggestions? Paolo |

I would interpret that to mean that it was drawn or etched by Borsari, from ("da") a painting by Federico Andreotti.

Hi, I'm the owner of the last supper by A. Borsari. It seems that the signature may look different from the other canevas but you should have a look on www.galerielarenaissance.com to compare with the images of the home page.
If you have something new tell me |

I too have a painting with the RAS in a circle at the bottom right hand corner. It also has "Delleani Dip" on the left side. I am trying to figure out if this is worth something. Please let me know if you have any information on the RAS. (Leslie021@aol.com) |

Above is a print of a harem scene signed "A Borsari", followed by "desig." [drawn].
