A few years ago I came into possession of a picture in a frame by l Campbell Taylor (from my grandparents) on the back of the frame it states Petit Point the picture is of a lady with a needle in her hand and sewing on a piece of material (that's what it looks like to me not a hot topic for me lol).
The signature is at the bottom right hand corner which when looking up his work it seems to be on the left hand side, I also cannot find out much about this picture only that it was done in 1943 if anyone can shed some light on it for me it would be much appreciated. Many thanks Zoe |

Also the picture I am posting the woman has a resemblance to the woman in his other picture playing cards, it may even be the same model

I have the same picture and continue to look for information. My picture was passed down from my Mother. I will post anything I find. Please let me know if you find any additional information. |

Apparently LCT did a few paintings of women doing needlework. One titled 'The Sampler' , another one titled 'Needlework', and this one 'Petit Point'. I was unable to find a copy of the one titled 'Needlepoint' or this one.
Here's an old thread -> http://www.artconversation.com/quest...ampbell+Taylor |

I too inherited a framed print of L.Campbell Taylor's "The Sampler"; came across your reports about your Taylor work; and can find nothing more about this art piece other than what you discovered. So glad to connect with your findings.
