Default benefits of building an art museum

People sponsor the building of art museum,now i wants to know the benefits of sponsoring the building of a fine art museum to a corporate body what are they expecting to gain back in such a venture thanks

Most of the really significant donations to museums I can think of were from private individuals who were extremely wealthy and who were committed to the arts.

As for companies, I guess the basic thing they are looking for is to be seen as good corporate citizens, especially by the intellectual/cultural elite. Also, they often want to enhance their brand image by borrowing some of the cachet of the museum.

Corporations are cold entities. Money, money, money is the bottom line. No artistic talent there, no appreciation of art, it's all about the money.

Curses on this capitalistic society!!

I don't know it its like that everywhere, but I know that here in canada, if you give a piece of art to the National Art Gallery or any museum, you will receive a tax deduction of the value of the painting/work of art.
Only thing, is you have to have an important art to be accepted.
