I am looking for two paintings that I once saw...
1. A painting of men on ladders painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chaple and on the ceiling was "paint by numbers" instructing the men where to paint what. 2. The back of a man looking at paintings in a museum Has anyone ever seen either of these |

The description is a little vague, but I believe the second painting you are thinking of is Norman Rockwell's The Connoisseur.

Steve Delair is well known for doing beautiful paintings of people looking at art in museums. Try that.

thanks so much ....The 1st painting is still unknown...You are looking at men on scafolds painting the ceiling and on the ceiling you see it scetched out like a paint by number board which is telling the painters which colors to put where...a spoof on how the ceiling was done. I found the second it is by Steve Kaufman but am unable to locate the painting very similar to the Norman Rockwell but the man is looking at Marilyn Monroe.

saw a painting a few times of a huge white swan looming over a naked man and woman , the swans wings were so vast that the man was standing on on of them , and swan appeared to be looking intently at the man, whilst the woman steped back, they are standing on the shore line of the ocean, but there is no sand, but the ground is paved in large concrete stones. who is this by > is it common? i cant seem to find it anywhere

I own a print of an oil painting that was given to me by my great grandmother and am unable to locate a signature on it. It's very dark consisting of mostly blue tones. It depicts a mother in common 18th century clothing and her three daughters. To the left there is an infant in a bassinet and two young girls with the mother, one of the girls is in a chair with a doll. The group is sitting next to a window with a white curtain. If anyone has any clue I'd love to know! Thanks

Hi there,
I recently saw a picture at my father-in-law's home that had a painting of two angels embrassing the angel on the right has her left foot exposed and it shows six toes...based on some research Michelangelo is infamous for painting six toes or fingers... The painting is somewhat dark in nature,Can anyone help me find the artist? |

You have? I have recently had this painting stolen from me, I left it outside to dry because it got a bit wet and I was about to go outside and get it before it started raining but it was gone! |

A very large painting, about the size of a head board or queen size bed. It is of three ladies in a courtyard one in green one in yellow and I believe one in white. One has a camisole in her hand and in the background is a victorian style home. The painting at first glance seems kinda foggy but I dying to find the name of this painting or the artist. If you have any hints or leads please let me know.

The picture I am looking for has a face a baby, located in the bottom middle of the picture. One of a pre-teen on middle, and left of the baby. One of a middle-aged adult face above the baby. The face of the old man was across from the pre-teen. I only saw this painting at London's National Portait Galley. This painting looks to me of around the shakepearian time. I remember the old man wearing a collar cuff (a white frilly thing around the neck like the picture of Shakepear or King Henry VIII).
