Default Homer style painting

Hi All
I bought this painting at a yard sale this week. It is unsigned ans measures about 8" by 10". It looks like it is oil on a canvas lined cardboard I showed it to an art dealer friend of mine and he said it looked to be in the style of Winslow Homer. I found a couple of images of similar works which really doesn't mean anything but when I saw them I thought they were remarkably similar. Just thought someone might have some insight on it.

My painting is the one with the dog in point position and the man holding the rifle at his side. The other two I got form the internet. Sorry about the glare from the flash.

Thanks in advance. Rawchop

Reminds me of the old paint by number paintings. Just the style. I could be wrong of course.
