please help identify

Hi my name is Justin and I am handling a large estate sale in Palm Beach,Florida. I have been trying to research a particularly obscure piece that was purchased approximately ten years ago for around $20,000. I have no information on this piece perhaps you could help me to identify the artist. I would very much appreciate any help you could give me. I am enclosing a photograph of course, thank you.

This piece measures approximately 5 feet by 3 feet and is very heavy.

Hi Justin,
If I'm right there is a signature on the upper left side of the panel and it looks like "_uto_ er '71". A close up shot would help.

I can not find any kind of signature or numbers on the entire piece. I was told that the Artist was Italian if that helps at all.

I have circled an area on the work. Can you take a high res shot of the area. I think it is signed and dated there.
