Hi,
A friend of mine is looking for a painting that looks like 18th century French he said. Not so much impressionistic, a little more real than that. So not like The Picnic exactly. He said it's of a man and a woman leaning against a boat while the man is painting [the woman]. He said he found it in a nursing home one day. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance! Sarah |

It sounds like this John Singer Sargent portrait of Paul Helleu and his wife.
