Default owl painting

I have an owl painting by this guy. It's three owls sitting on a branch, its a very large painting. I'm not sure if its just some generic painting or if its the real thing and who is this C Petterson? I got it from a yard sale, the guy said he found it in someone's house he was cleaning in Ocean City.

Default C. Petterson Painting

I also have one of these paintings. It is of barron looking trees in the middle of an open field with no leaves on it. Sort of an autumn look with yellows, black, and white. I found it in the attic of an old house that I was remodeling in Tacoma, WA. Any info would be awesome!

Default C Petterson oil painting

I'm also looking for information on this artist. I have a very large oil on wood painting of his that my aunt purchased in Sacramento in the late 1960's (from what she recalls). She moved back to the midwest in 1971 so it was before that as she brought it back with her. This painting is beautiful and is of daffodils. Has anyone been able to find out about this artist? Thanks.

All right, it's August 2012, and still nobody can find out any information about C. Petterson?! His/her paintings are beautiful - I have the one with the 5 zebras. It's worth about $700 according to what I've found on e-bay and other sites. It's just too mysterious to sell right now, though. Hoping for news....

Default C. Petterson

Today I purchased a oil on canvas. It depicts three owls and is beautiful. It is signed C. Petterson. I paid $5.00 for it at a local thrift store. It is in perfect condition and looks great in my living room.

I have not found any information regarding the artist C. Petterson or the monetary value of his/her art work. But I am confident my painting is worth more than 5 bucks.

Default owl painting

I have a painting that appears to be point for point the same as that posted by ticktock July 11, 2011 (april 2011.jpg) only mine is 36" x 36". This painting was given to me by a collector friend approximately 1990. Don't have any idea of the value, but the painting is absolutely beautiful in my rustic game room by the pool table. Very unusual that it is so identical to the one posted but appears to me to be an actual painting rather than a print based on the texture of the paint.

Default C Petterson

I just wanted to add to this thread. We have a painting by the same artist (same exact signature) of a lone tree. Similar colors to that of the owl. The painting was found on the side of the road in Mt. Sinai, Long Island approx. 2003. I'll try to add a picture of it in the near future.
Thanks

Default three owls on a branch

I, too, have a painting of the same owls as the one posted by ticktock. Even the frame is the same. It is above my fireplace and my favorite painting, which appears to be oil on canvas. I bought it about eight years ago at an estate sale for $10. Same name...C. Petterson. Apparently there are many in the world, but having one puts a smile on my face, for owls are my favorite, and these owls have personality. One follows you wherever you are in the room, always looking at you. One is sad, the other appears confused. I sometimes sit and watch them for hours.

I have the lone tree painting also. It is 30" by 40". Still nothing on the artist.
