Hi there,
I am trying to find the name and artist of a painting I remember seeing 30 years ago. It is of the head of a man in profile (looking towards the left of the viewer) with a blue sky background. His head is opened up like it is on a hinge. I can't remember if there is something floating above the opening, butterflies? balls? I don't know. I have looked through the work of Dali and Magritte and they don't seem to have been the artists on this one. Can anyone help me? Thanks, M |

Maybe try Terry Gilliam. I recall a Monty Python animation in which something like this happened.

You can also look to the results of a google image search with the name "roland topor" who made several works from this idea.

Thanks so much for your ideas. I have checked both of these with no luck. Any other thoughts?
I appreciate your help, M |
