I'm wondering if it's possible that Goyen made smaller studies of the same artwork ever. I have a small painting that looks the same as one in a museum. This is the title of the one in the museum and a link to see it. I'll add a photo of mine. Mine is an oil on a 10 X 12 on wood which when you look, you can see there are some like that, that have sold by the artist.
Any thoughts are appreciated....is it likely I have some sort of real old reproduction? There's a label on the back. Shore in Egmond-on-See Goyen, Jan Jozefsz van. Oil on panel. 53x71.5 cm Holland. 1645 Provenance: before 1797 http://www.hermitagemuseum.org/fcgi-...%26%2332%3Bvan |
