Hi
I have an etching by J. Farquharson entitled The Painter. It is numbered. I have had this for years and have not been able to find any information. Any help would be appreciated. |

Thank you Eireene
It is Joseph. I have been unable to locate any of his pencil works. Am willing to pay for appraisal if I can gain some knowledge about this particular piece of art. |

Hi there, I have studied Joseph's work for many years and he kept meticulous records of his works and regularly did sketches either on their own or as a small version of his large works. The family still have some of his sketchbooks but quite a lot of material perished in a fire at Finzean Estate years ago. Some of his sketches and etchings are brilliant and so atmospheric. I also have 3 'original' prints of his which are signed by Joseph on the back, with the telephone number of Aberdeen 43! would love to get those valued too but could never part with them. If you are still looking for info on 'the painter' will have a delve if you like?
