Greetings,

Any help with identifying this artist would be greatfully appreciated. It was left to my mother on the death of her father and has hung in our home as long as I can remember. My grandfather was born in Liverpool, UK. Naturalized citizen in the US 1896. Lived in Mass., Colorado, and California.
There is a signature in the bottom left hand corner but illegible.

A women (wife?) sitting/waiting by the window with three young children and a dog (Spaniel?) looking on.
