"The silent witness" by Herbert Schmalz
If anyone would like to see pictures of this original signed print, please email margaretgardner@eircom.net.The picture depicts the bombed interior of Ypres
Cathedral with injured soldiers and the so called "silent witness". The Benedictine Nuns from Ypres fled to Ireland. They took with them the Tabernacle from the Cathedral. It is still on public display in Kylemore Castle, Connemara, Co Galway. This is a beautiful print and in original condition and frame. |
