ID for my pictures

Hello. new to this forum. my name is jackie i live in halifax west yorkshire england. i took my pictures along to my local art gallery as wasnt sure if they wear prints or paintings. these pictures had me baffled as looking closley with my glass i could not see any tell tale signes of print dots. but not convinced they wear paintings as there are no brush marks to be seen it looks realy flat like a print. the chappie at the gallery had a good long look with his glass and said he has no dout they are water colours and dabbed a corner of the picture with a wet cotton budd and shown me a little colour he had lifted. i couldnt see owt just dirt/ he went on to say they wear very old with foxing and to take care of them. he spotted signituers in black but couldnt read it. Am still not convinced ther watercolours. i have posted a picture of each one. i think i can see a bit of the signiture if i sqint. Bied ? i would most wellcome any comments. both pictures come i very nice gold mounted frames. on the back of one it has a lable that reads. C. J. LAMM. wholesale and retail. Carver.
