Dark scene, vanishing horse --- help me identify
I have come into possession of a painting that is very haunting. It is a very dark scene with man on a white horse that seems to be vanishing, a lady in a chair on the path with an empty chair next to her. In the foreground there is a child with a black dog in the path and a lady sitting near him but off of the path. She is motioning to the boy and wearing a yellow bonnet. Does this ring any bells?
