Default Help finding a painting: King, woman and child

Hi!

For a school project, I need to identify this painting (don't have more data, looks like a biblical scene - maybe Solomon's judgement, or Abraham's trial - and it's surely just a portion):

Can anybody help me?

Thanks a lot in advance!

You don't mean that IS the project do you? Hunting down the details of the painting, I mean. If so, I don't think we should be helping.

In any case, the style looks familiar to me but I don't recognize the artist offhand. I do rather suspect this is more or less the whole painting, though. The composition of the figures is symmetric, and down at the lower left you can see the suggestion of a corner.
