Default Please Help Identify Beautiful (Victorian?) Romantic Garden Painting

Hello-

I'm a bit obsessed with finding the title & artist of this stunning painting
I found this image here:

http://theperfumedcourt.com/Products...eromantic.aspx

The website owner said she found it on google images, but doesn't remember how or where.

I would be most grateful if you could please view the image & see if you can help me.

Thank you so much!

Note that the raw image is larger than it is as displayed on that page. Here it is:

P.S. It looks like the work of J.J. Tissot or perhaps Alfred Stevens to me, but I don't recognize this specific painting.

John-
I agree that it does look like a Tissot piece. I'm searching his works (& those of Stevens) & finding sooo many other breathtaking images that I feel almost guilty for not settling for one of those instead!
But I just cannot give up on this particular one. I find it to be so exquisite, moving & peaceful.
I dearly hope that a member of this forum will recognize it.
John, thank you so much for your kind assistance thus far!

Good catch, Eirene. How did you hunt it down, or were you already familiar with the painting?

Hi John. Like you I thought it was by James Tissot, had checked out the site with his complete works. I tried searching google images using all sorts of terms, no joy. I then decided to just search Victorian Romantic paintings in google search...not the images...the top hit...ten pages in there it was.

Ahhh...Eirene!

You (and your sleuthing methods) are nothing short of brilliant!

I am absolutely THRILLED to begin my quest to own this superlative image.

The information you've provided has piqued my interest in Hennessy's other works as well.

Thank you ever so much!

Best~ Kacey

You're quite welcome....I had a good laugh at your comment regarding sleuthing..I belong to a site named web sleuths...I found that rather funny. I think we...us Cyber people are all basically web sleuths...we keep on digging for info....the truth.
