Smile Value of L. Campbell Taylor, "The Sampler"

Can anyone help me determine the value of a print that my husband purchased? It is "The Sampler" by L. Campbell Taylor.

Across the top of the print it reads, "Published in 1933 by Frost & Reed Ltd, Fine Art Publishers, Bristol & London England. Copyright in all countries
including the USA (Foreign)".

On the bottom left it reads "L. Campbell Taylor RA" and on the bottom
right it reads "The Sampler".

Any help you can give is appreciated.

Mary

I too would like to know the value of a print the same as yours. I have sticker on the back that it was framed for someone and the date is dec 6 1946 from a London picture framer and is way down here in New Zealand. i bought at a second hand shop for $20. I love it , it is a very soothing picture. will watch with anticipation for any replies you might get. Mine still has the original frame painted gold

Default the sampler

I would also like to know any info on this painting. I actually have An original painting of "the sampler". I bought it in a thrift shop for three dollars about four years ago. I cannot find any info about the artist L.Campbell Taylor. I saw a framed print of this painting in a store about a week ago. The painting I have is pretty large & has it's original frame. It's got some water marks on it & the coloring is very dark. If any one out there in the art world has any info please e-mail.
Thanks,
Colleen

I, too have a print. It says Printed in 1933 in Bristol Englund. I would love to know if it's worth anything. Might be too many of them to be valuable. DARN!

Default The Sampler

I have a print of this painting. If you have an original, hang onto it. The AskART.com website has originals being auctioned at 7000-15000 depending on the painting.

Default Valuation on four L Campbell Taylor Prints

Hi,

I'm new to the site!
I bought four L Campbell Taylor prints in an Antique Shop about 10 years ago.
Temper Flowers, The Sampler, Summer Flowers and the last one has no name on it there are two lady's, one is standing in a blue dress reading a book and the other is quilting in a green dress, I would love to know the name of this one. They all have signatures, would anyone please be able to give me a approx valuation on them!

Many thanks.

I have a framed picture of the Sampler by L. Campbell Taylor it is a print. We have it marked at £485. We have an exact copy also in oils on canvas signed by our artist, that is £1,500. We have many (over 400), original oils and watercolours as well as prints and limited editions for sale including L.S.Lowry, and many English painters, also originals by Kim and the american artist Medina.
