I recently bought two pictures at an auction. I don't know much about art but would like to find out anything I can about these. They were kind of shoved in the back and no one seemed interested. I instantly liked them. I have been told that they are prints and not the watercolor paintings.
They both display Copyright by Stehli Freres, Editeurs, Zurich They both display A, Marc, pinx. The first has No. 1055 Le Pont du Canal and the second displays No. 1056 Le Canal du Berry. They did not come with frames. Can anyone tell me any information about these? Time period they were created, artist statistics, possible cost. Thanks |

In reply to your question from August, I have one of A. Marc's signed prints and would like to get more. What did you find out about them. Mine is numbered 1036.
Thanks for replying. I really need to know. Jean Ashton |

I have six A. Mark prints in frames and am curious as to what they may be worth. I'm interested in selling if I can find out how much they are worth.
Can anyone help in identifying the artist, some history, etc about him and his paintings. From what I can read in these threads he may be from Switzerland. Any information would be appreciated. Del |

I have one A Marc, a view of a village in Gloucestershire - Lower Slaughter. It was owned by my mother, I think it is an original. Anyone any idea of value, his nationality etc. Is he of any note?

A.Marc / Marc is a pseudonym for the real artist Nicolas Markovitch
