I am trying to identify two silk embroidered portraits from Japan that were purchased in the mid '50's. They have an embroidered artist stamp/sign in Japanese. Can anyone help? I can send pictures. Please contact me at katlorance@hotmail.com. Thanks.

They are of an elderly Japanese couple. The man is dressed in a blue informal kimono with a small white pattern. He has a white beard and is smoking a cigarette in a holder. His arms are crossed and his beard is over one forearm. The wisps of smoke are fine threads. The woman's hair is pulled back into a bun that is not seen. She has small round glasses like John Lennon low on her nose. She is dressed in an informal kimono as well which is in darker grey tones. She has little whispy white hairs. They are exquisite.
