Exclamation Looking for Spanish Artist of 1800s who....

Looking for Spanish artist of 1800s who painted in oil and did church frescos. His name was Cappa. He signed some of his works with X for Xavier. He was a contemporaty and friend of Picasso. Cappa lived in Madrid and Malaga - we believe. In the 70s we found a work of his at the Bellas Artes in Malaga. He also taught at one of the major art schools in Spain. Any leads to this artist would be greatly appreciated as this is a family member. Thenk you,
Christina

Is there anything like a database of international museum collections? This might help me find out more on this Spanish artist.
