Hello, I was visiting the De Young art museum in San Fransisco CA, and I saw a painting there.
It had two giant figures battling each other in a city. In the city it looked very scary, there were these roads on the bottom where people where packed like sardines on the highways, and the weapons and shields the dueling figures had were made out of dead bodies. The painting, at least to me, sent the message of how humans are like cannon fodder in war, and how to great nations will use it's citizens as meat shields and weapons to battle one another. I have some very low res pictures from my camera that I will try to include. |

Oriental cartoon characters? I had no luck locating this at the online site. You could try contacting the Museum. http://deyoung.famsf.org/

I already checked there and I wasn't able to find it.
I have gleaned that the one of the figures is African, and has a black shield. While the other figure is Caucasian and has a shield made of citizens. Both characters weapons are mace like and are made of human bodies. The figure on the right, the African one, has a green snake coming out of his helmet that is trying to attack the figure on the left. |
