Trying to identify painting and artist.
Hi all - I actually posted this as none registered and decided I would register, so if the other post get's put up please ignore it. Anyway - I have my eye on a painting. It's a stunning scenery of snow capped mountains in the background with a lake and cabin in the fore. This isn't a reproduction and I'm trying to find out a little about it. I may just buy it anyway since it's so nice. The artists signature is in the lower right corner and it looks like IL. Boxy but the y is a little strange. I've attached a couple of pictures, excuse the low quality, I had to use my phone.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as I can't find anything on the net. Thanks a lot Pete |

Ok - I figured out it's K. Boxy not IL. Still don't know anything about the artist though. Can anyone help?

That's what it looks like. If you do a search for "K Boxy" in double quotes (exact phrase search), you can see that Yahoo Answers has had some questions (but few answers) about K. Boxy.

I recently found this exact same painting & I was wondering if you have found out any information on the value of it. Any help will be appreciated.

k. boxy painting
i have a large painting by k. boxy with a cabin ,mountains,and lake but it is not the same as the one pictured here.if anyone knows of this artist please e-mail me at homersharp@bellsouth.net. i bought the painting at a store in asheville n. c. thanks

k.boxy painting
i also have a painting by k. boxy.it is a large canvas with mountains,cabin and lake but is not the same as the one pictured.signed on bottom right.stunning scene. bought it in asheville, n. c. if anyone has information on k.boxy please e- mail me at homersharp@bellsouth.net thanks

I have some a painting with an artist name Boxy. First initial can not make out. It is a winter Sean on a lake with a cabin in the right shore line. Mountain in back ground. Winter snowy in blues and white tones. I purchased it at a auction in Green Bay Wi who is this artist? It is a really nice painting and looks original.p

K. Boxy
To all concerned.
I have a painting by K. Boxy. It also is a painting of a cabin with a lake and snowy mountains in the background. I can email anyone a picture of it. My email is adam401969@yahoo.com. The painting was purchased in Temple Tx. I have had this painting since 2006. The canvas painting is 35 and a half inches tall by 47 and a half wide. With a four inch wide frame. |

Hi have recently acquired a painting by what i thought was by a K. Boxy it is a water front picture of some houses possibly Mediterainian with a wharf in fore front. Searching around I found an artist K. Boxly listed but can find no info when i check the links apparently they go for between 80 to 300 dollars. Let me know if you get more info as i'm assuming this is the guy. This painting was bought in Vancouver at North Atlantic Arts Imports and is from the 1940"s.
