Hello, I have an oil painting that I need help with. It was painted in the late 1700s. It was in an auction in the 1940s at Mccallahan and Burr in Missouri. It has an auction number on the back. I had it restored about a year ago. I would like to know who the lady is, it would make it worth more, need to know the artist as well. It was valued at $7500 as is, but with that information it could be a lot more. I don't know much about art and paintings, so please tell me what other information I could provide to assist with this.

Unfortunately, something messed up in my original post, I have edited it to include the full size image.

Suppose this will be my last bump. If no one can provide any additional information, would it be possible to let me know where I might be able to take this to obtain the artist and picture name? Took it into pawn stars and they said they can't do anything without that information.
Thanks. |
