HELP with this mystery painting!

The painting is of a dark haired woman in a short black dress (3/4 sleeve).She has her left hand on her thigh. She is on a red chaise and her high heels are on the floor.

I have searched for hours on google, yahoo, etc. I can't seem to find another photo of it, if avail for purchase, name/artist etc

Please help!!! Looking for any info on it.

Hmm, that really looks more like a photograph than a painting to me.

Hi, i couldnt figure out how to start a thread to ask this question so i thought i would try my luck here!
I have a reproduction of a picture titled Mammon, and in the top left corner it says Sidney Wright 1941-1942. It is a picture with alot going on in it and i was wanting to get a larger print or canvas print of it but, an extensive google search (and i mean extensive!) hasnt even brought up a mention of the artist nevermind the actual picture!
This is a first for me as usually the web has an answer already, so now im hopefully in the right place to find out!
I was wanting to find out more about the artist, or be pointed in the direction of somewhere i can find more on him?
Secondly i was hoping to get an idea of how to go about getting a bigger copy of this picture either from my copy or shop bought, i understand from reading other posts that you will be moderated for telling me a specific place to go to so a more generic bit of help may be in order!
Im really at a loss of how to proceed with this, it really is a very intricate picture and i am able to post it up here for you if you wish as if you havent seen it you might like it also !!
Anyway, fingers crossed someone might be able to help me!?

if the picture is of a skyscraper being built and has a rainbow and a holy city
top right the original is in the atkinson art gallery southport lancs{merseyside]
iwould wish to know more of the artist.

The second painting on this page for a 2008 auction is a watercolor by Sidney Wright. If you do a search for sidney wright watercolour on Google you should find a couple of other references (without images) to works by the artist on the same website.

...and there's a record (no picture) of another watercolour by Sidney Wright being sold at Sothebys on this page. The work was dated 1968.
