Default H Schippers? Id help please

I have an oil on canvas painting signed "H. Schippers" and am trying to identify the artist. The only Schippers I found in my research was Jozef Schippers, whose work and signature appear similar. Is it possible that Jozef is the artist and the H is a abbreviation for "Herr" - the german word for "Mr."?

I am attaching a photo of the painting as well as a close up of the signature.

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Heh, nice try but it doesn't seem like the way anybody would sign a painting. Have you ever heard of a painting being signed "Mr. Such-and-such"?

Yeah, we thought it might be a stretch, but our best guess was that perhaps he taught a class where the students would've referred to him as "mr. so-and-so" and that this might've been a gift to one of them. Other than that, we haven't found anything else but a few small pictures online where the signature almost looks like it could be the same, but it's still not an "H. Schippers"

Any thoughts on who this might be or where it came from?

Possibly a close relative, e.g. Jozef Schippers' son or maybe daughter. This sort of career often runs in families.

Could be Dutch painter Henk Schippers (1919-1989) but I could be wrong. Not a lot I could find on him.

Two paintings of H Schippers are beeing sold in Holland at this moment on the internet.

A good bet for Henk Schippers? Can you please direct me to where I might find more information about him and some his work that was recently sold?

Mum has a painting almost exactly the same by the same artist except there are more skaters on the canal. Her grandmother in Holland owned it inthe 1940's. She has a second painting by the same artist-shepherds hut with sheep.
