Hello
This is the cover art of a music album and the only thing I know about it is that it was done by a french artist a few centuries ago. I've been trying to identify it for a few years by asking art teachers at my university or just enthusiasts but I haven't had luck so far. There is a signature on the bottom right corner that reads like ~~ La Dxxxx And someone told me the name of the painting was "Bora", but I haven't been able to find such a work anywhere. Thanks a lot for your expertise You see, I love that girl. |

At first glance I thought she was underwater, as in a famous painting of Ophelia. But when I read the name I thought of Waterhouse's painting Boreas, Boreas being the Greek god of the north wind.

... in fact check out this painting on the same subject by Evelyn de Morgan. Very similar.
