Default Australian outback oil

I'm trying to find a painting from my youth. It is an Australian desert scene, with a dessicated background and a dead dried-out tree in the foreground and a bleached animal skull and bones in the scrub. Does anyone recognise this description?

Is it maybe Georgia O'Keefe?

His name is on the tip of my tongue but can't get it. Thanks for trying.
